Jennifer J. Lee
Jenn Lee is a renowned swing dance instructor with a passion for fostering an inclusive and collaborative learning environment. She emphasizes the importance of follow voice, ensuring equal attention to both leads and follows. Jenn acknowledges the Black cultural roots of swing dancing and encourages dancers to appreciate its rich history. As a professional follow without a dedicated partner, Jenn's versatile dance style adapts to various partners and teaching collaborations, enhancing her abilities as an instructor. Her strong music background allows her to seamlessly integrate rhythmic concepts and musicality into her classes, helping students express themselves on the dance floor. Jenn's love for social dancing and the swing community is evident in her warm approach and adaptable style, making her a valuable addition to any dance event she participates in.

Jeremy Otth

Jeremy Otth has amassed a great amount of knowledge on the historic essence of vintage swing dances from many of the original jitterbugs and swing dancers. His expertise is focused on the Lindy, Collegiate Shag, Balboa and Solo Jazz.
Along with his seemingly inexhaustible amount of energy, Jeremy’s natural talent and dedication led him to accumulate championship titles at many acclaimed dance competitions such as the International Lindy Hop Championships, National Jitterbug Championships, American Classic Balboa Championships, and the US Open Swing Dance Championships. He's been inducted 2x into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame. Jeremy is honored to share the breadth of knowledge and passion for these classic partner dances by entertaining and educating feet around the world from Southern California to Asia and Europe.

Natasha Devyatkina & Olivier Harouard
Natasha & Oliver are successful instructors, competitors and performers. Their creativity and musical synergies are matched and their professionalism, kindness and humour take them to teach in some of the biggest camps in the world of Swing. They were the first European couple to win the title of Champion IBC in the famous Balboa Pavilion in Newport Beach (USA)! More than competing they enjoy social dancing and sharing their passion with others.

The Band

With Paris Hot Five we enter the vibrant nightlife of the bars and cabarets in Paris in the 1930s and 40s. Jazz giants such as Django Reinhardt, Charles Trenet, Louis Armstrong and Duke Ellington are at the peak of their success, delighting their audiences and preparing the dance floor for Swing, Lindy Hop, Balboa and Charleston.

With a distinctive blend of gypsy and musette, the purely acoustic ensemble transports its audience to this legendary era of exuberant joie de vivre.

Christian Ther on the accordion, Joachim Norz on the guitar, Volker Kaulartz as a clarinetist, Julian Jochen on bass and the singer and guitarist Alex Wiemer make every place swing.

Messieurs dames, c'est chaud!

The DJS

Ingrid

She has been on the dance floors of the swing scene for over a quarter of a century. It began in the '90s when swing dancing was experiencing a renaissance and she was amazed to discover that the timeless energy of that era could still be danced to today.
Her fascination for the non-verbal communication of the dance couples, the physical movement energy based on rhythm and flow and mental arithmetic with footwork variations is unbroken. Ideas for DJ sets also come from listening to jazz in hidden clubs and music festivals.

Franky Doo

DJ Franky Doo's mission is as simple as this: He wants to make you dance, dance, dance... and dance!
To achieve this goal, his first step is to throw away anything that looks like a playlist. Instead he is constantly vibing with the dancers and their energy on the floor and chooses his next tune accordingly, always guaranteeing that it's going to be another perfect pearl of the classic original recordings.

The Venue

We will be happy to see you 19th – 21st of April 2024 at the location Holz & Form, Tübingen Tanzschule Salsamara & Tanzraum Boccanegra. Address: Provenceweg 22, 72072 Tübingen
